Desirous of the ultimate performance Multistrada? Ducati introduces the all-new Multistrada 1000S DS. As with all Multistrada models, the riding position is a comfortable balance between the aggressive sport bike posture and the wide-handlebar upright position typical of enduro machines. As a result, the Multistrada carves up mountain passes like a sport bike, but is still comfortable for hours of two-up adventure touring. The Multistrada 1000S DS is equipped with exclusive “S” features such as carbon fibre timing belt covers and front mudguard. At the bike’s heart is the 1000 Dual Spark engine -- powerful, reliable and with excellent torque even at the lowest engine speeds. The exceptional performance of the Multistrada 1000 DS is derived from its impressive twin-cylinder 1000 DS engine and top-of-the-line Superbike components. Despite its revolutionary design, the Multistrada is still uniquely Ducati, with its trademark trellis frame, finely-calibrated suspension for precision handling, and braking system on par with that of top sport models. The unmistakeable Ducati trellis frame combines with the fully adjustable Showa long travel fork to provide smooth performance as well as safe, secure handling. The new entry-level model retains all the outstanding performance, total control and maximum comfort of the Multistrada 1000 DS, yet has the added benefit of being noticeably lighter and lower: a full 13 Kg/28 lbs lighter and 20 mm lower. Riders can devour the bends with outstanding agility and an added sense of security no matter what the situation. The 620 air-cooled Desmodue features a sophisticated injection system developed by Ducati racing. A Dark version of the Multistrada 620 is also available. Its classic matte black colouring and front brake with single large-diameter disc evokes the minimalist aesthetics of the supermotard.
